Descriptive Text (Historical Place)
Descriptive text is a kind of text which describes particular person, thing, animal, and public place in details.
The purpose : to describe particular person, thing, animal, and place
Generic structure :
- Identification : to introduce a text about animal, things, place or person
- Description : contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by describing its feauture, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe
Language features :
1. using past tense and simple present tense
2. Adjective
3. To be : was, is, were

Candi Tikus (Tikus temple)
Tikus temple was located in Trowulan kompleks, in Dukuh Dinuk, Temon Village, Trowulan Sub-District, Mojekorto District, East Java. Tikus Temple is located 13 km south east of Mojekorto city.
Tikus Temple was burried over the years by Nature. This temple was found again in 1914 durung excavation by Mojekorto regen, R.A.A Kromojoyo adinegoro. This temple was built by Majapahit kingdom. Experts said this temple was used for king family bathroom. The other experts said this temple was used for place of worship.
In Tikus temple there is a square shape pool with 29,5 m long and 28,25 m width, this pool was made from clay bricks. This pool is located around 3,5 m bellow the surface. In the surface there is salasar around 75 cm width that surrounded the building. In the inside bellow 1 m, there is salasar with larger width than before, this salasar surrounded the pool. Entrance to the Temple is in the north side. There is a stairs with 3,5 m width to the pool. In the left and right stairs you can see square shape pool with 3,5 m long and 2 m width with 1,5 m depth. In the outside wall, every pool has 3 lotus shape showers that were Made from andesite stone. In Tikus temple there is a square building with the size of 7,65 m. In the top of the building there is a 2 m tower with the roof shaped meru. This tower surrounded by 8 little towers.
This temple was restored by Indonesia government in 1984-1985. There was another excavation in Tikus temple. Indonesia government was add more decoration for tourism.
